Joe Klassen started "Joey's Only" in the summer of 1985 in Calgary, Alberta. With Jill Argue, Theresa Klassen and David Mossey, he started franchising the same year. Joey's Only has locations in the United States and Canada.
On Tuesdays Joey's Only restaurants feature all-you-can-eat fish and chips, as well as all-you-can-eat fries and free soft drink refills every day. They have an open kitchen so customers can watch their meals being prepared. In 1999 the company began offering its Tennessee Jack's menu of rotisserie chicken and ribs and side dishes.
Joey's Only has tremendous Operational Support. Regional managers regularly inspect each location and speak regularly with franchise business owners to assist with the operation of their restaurants. Ongoing training, regular regional meetings, supplier seminars, research and development, and various marketing efforts all contribute to the sustained quality of Joey's Only / Tennessee Jack's franchises. Moreover, Joey's Only franchising stays up to date with market trends (marketing, technology, cooking, staffing, serving procedures, etc.) and passing this information along to its franchise business owners.
